Open in App
Solution

Women played as significant role in bringing about the French Revolution. They participated in the 'March to Versailles' to get the king sign 'The Declaration of the Rights of the Man'. They also participated in the fall of bastille. At the same time, women participated indirectly by promoting and propagating modern ideas through societies, journals, pamphlets, etc. Before the revolution women had a very poor status. They were given no political rights and were always dependent on men for everything. The role of women during the French revolution was a turning point in their lives.
