Even the French government did not allowed schooling in vietnam, how was Vietnamese educated and how did the Vietnamese teachers came ?

The French government did allow education in Vietnam. But the education was supposed to instil support for the French colonial government. However, Vietnamese teachers in such schools found ways to subvert the agenda of the government. The government approved curriculum was not blindly followed by Vietnamese teachers. It was difficult for the government to control what the teachers taught. While teaching, Vietnamese teachers would modify what was stated in the officially approved books and criticised what was stated.
