Solution

Compound events in which the outcome of one does not depends upon the outcome of other is known as Independent event.

For example: rolling 2 on a fair dice and getting head on tossing a coin are two Independent events because occurance of 2 on a dice is not effecting the occurance of head on tossing of coin.
