Distance from $(-2,3)$ to $(-5,7)$

$\sqrt{(-5+2{)}^2-(7-3{)}^2}\sqrt{9+16}\sqrt{25}=5$

Distance from $(-2,3)$ to $(2,5)$

$\sqrt{(2+2{)}^2-(3-5{)}^2}\sqrt{16+9}\sqrt{25}=5$
