Solution

The frictional force is a consequential force

  1. Frictional force is a type of contact force.
  2. It starts to act whenever two surfaces are in contact with each other and starts to move over one another.
  3. When we apply a force to move an object kept on a surface at the same time frictional force starts to act on the application of that force.
  4. It is the force that resists motion when two objects are in contact.
  5. Consequential forces are the forces that occur as a result of some action that is done on a body.
  6. For example, the force of friction is a consequential force because it acts as a result of an applied contact force.
