Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
Following are the factors that led to the making of the Indian constitution:
1. India's partition was based on religious differences which had a deep impact on the minds of the people.
2. The people of India were emerging into citizens rather than being subjects under some ruler or State.
3. The political leaders were inspired by the French Revolution and aimed to follow a constitution which resembled the French constitution.
4. Provision of rules and guidelines to the political representatives and citizens required the making of a constitution.
5. Indian society was diverse and differentiated at the time of India's independence. Therefore there was a dire need for the constitution to be amended to provide equal opportunities and rights to all the citizens of India.
