Question

Expand (3x3)(3x+4) using appropriate identity

Open in App
Solution

Using the identity is (m+a)(m+b)=m2+m(a+b)+ab.

Given: (3x3)(3x+4) we apply the above identity by taking
m=3x, a=3 and b=4
We get,
(3x3)(3x+4)=(3x)2+(3x)(3+4)+(3×4)=9x2+(3x)(1)12=9x2+3x12

Hence, (3x3)(3x+4)=9x2+3x12.
