Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer Technology (MOET) [0.5] is a method in which a cow is administered with hormones, with FSH-like activity. This is done to induce follicular maturation and super ovulation (instead of one egg produced per cycle, they produce 6-8 eggs per cycle). The cow is then mated with an elite bull or artificially inseminated with the semen of an elite bull. The fertilised eggs at 8–32 cells stages, are recovered nonsurgically and transferred to surrogate mothers for further development.
