We have, $(2 + x - 2 y)^{2}$
$(a + b + c)^{2} = a^{2} + b^{2} + c^{2} + 2 a b + 2 b c + 2 c a$
$= (2)^{2} + (x)^{2} + (- 2 y)^{2} + 2 (2) (x) + 2 (x) (- 2 y) + 2 (2) (- 2 y)$
$= 4 + x^{2} + 4 y^{2} + 4 x - 4 x y - 8 y$
