Experts both alkaline and acidic KMnO4 oxidise alcohols to carboxylic acid do they show same reactions so then in general i can write KMnO4 for oxidising anything instead of acidic and alkaline

Its enough if you write with general, KMnO₄ and (O) during the oxidation of alcohol to acid.
