Ambidentate ligands:
These type of ligands have two or more donor atoms out of which, only one donor atom is attached to metal in the complex.
NO2 group has two donor atoms N and O out of which, only one donor atom is attached to metal in the complex such as MNO2 or MONO.
SCN group has two donor atoms N and S out of which, only one donor atom is attached to metal in the complex such as MSCN or MNCS.
CN group has two donor atoms N and C out of which, only one donor atom is attached to metal in the complex such as MCN or MNC.
