Boyle's law states that the pressure of a given mass of an ideal gas is inversely proportional to its volume at a constant temperature.
1) In the case of inflating balloon the volume of balloon increases with increase in pressure, which is a violation of Boyle's law. But this is wrong conclusion because when we inflate a balloon the mass of gas provided into the balloon is increased and Boyle's law statement is strictly for fixed mass.
2) In the case of squeezing a balloon, the volume dcreases with increasing pressure applied on the outer walls of the balloon. This is in accordance with Boyle's law.
