(i) Composting: It is a process that involves decomposition of organic waste into humus known as compost which is a good fertiliser for the plants.
(ii) Incineration: It is a process of controlled high temperature oxidation of primary organic compounds that release thermal energy and produce carbon dioxide and water.
(iii) Segregation: This is a method in which wastes are segregated into biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials and put into different bins.
