Radiation is the process of heat transfer in which heat is directly passed from one body at a higher temperature to another body at a lower temperature in all directions along the straight lines. Radiation is possible in a vacuum as well because a medium is not required. It is the fastest method of heat transfer and takes place at the speed of light, i.e., $3\times {10}^{8}m{s}^{-1}$.
