A large family imposes a major financial burden on the parents and they cannot provide proper basic needs to their family members due to low income and high expenditure. This situation is very common in India in middle and low-class families. As a whole, overpopulation affects the development and well-being of the nation. In highly populated countries, the natural resources cannot meet the requirement of the people and the nation has to spend more money on imports. Hence, overpopulation leads to poverty.
