Dear Student
Combination Reaction: If in a Chemical equation, two or more reactants combine to form a single product then it is known as combination reaction.
e.g., H2 + O2 = H2O
Decomposition Reaction: If in a chemical reaction a single substance decomposes to form two or more substances then it is known as decomposition reaction.
e.g., CaCO3 = CaO + CO2
Single Displacement Reaction: If in a chemical equation, more reactive elements displaces a less reactive element from its compound then it is known as displacement reaction.
e.g., Zn + CuSO4 = ZnSO4 + Cu
Double Displacement Reaction: If in a chemical reaction exchange of ions takes place then it is known as double displacement reaction. Precipitate formation takes place, so it is also known as precipitation reaction.
e.g., Na2SO4 + BaCl2 = BaSO4 + NaCl
