Question

Explain condensation

Open in App
Solution

Condensation:

  • Condensation is a process in which vapour changes into liquid, normally by cooling.
  • On cooling, the gas particles lose kinetic energy and there is an increase in the order of the system as particles come closer and ultimately form clumps of molecules, and thus change into the liquid state.
  • Since heat evolved in condensation. So, it is an exothermic process.
