Open in App
Solution

Diffusion is the process of intermixing of particles of different types of matter (solid, liquid, or gas) on their own. Gases have the highest rate of diffusion while solids have the least rate of diffusion. Two examples of diffusion are:

  • The smell of perfume reaches us far apart.
  • Opening the Soda bottle and the CO2 diffuses into the air.
