Solution
When a visible white light is passed through a glass prism it is differentiated into 7 colours this is called dispersion of light.
The visible light is made of 7 colours which are violet, indigo, blue, green ,yellow, orange, red; starting from bottom to top.
The colours that are refracted are of different frequencies and have different deviation angle.
The violet light is deviated more than any color and red is deviated the least.
Whenever the light is reflected on any surface or object then colour of the object that we see is due to this color spectrum, the colors which are reflected back from the object is the colour that are visible to use.
