Solution

Circulatory system:

The circulatory system is in charge of bringing nutrients and gases into the body as well as removing waste.

Various types of circulatory systems:
1. Open circulatory system – it is simpler and has open-ended vessels that help with blood flow.
2. Closed circulatory system - this is a sophisticated system made up of several types of vessels that are all connected and through which blood flows.

Blood circulation types :

  1. Single Circulation – The blood will circulate in several locations throughout the body.
  • Only one cardiac cycle has been performed.
  • It can be found in birds, fish, reptiles, and other animals.
  • Blood flows in two directions, one for oxygenated blood and one for deoxygenated blood.
  • It can be found in animals.

2. Double Circulation - There are two types-

A) Systemic circulation:

  1. It transports oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle to the tissue capillaries.
  2. The aorta transports oxygenated blood to the body.
  3. Veins transport deoxygenated blood from the body to the heart.
  4. The right atrium then delivers deoxygenated blood to the right ventricle.

B) Pulmonary circulation:

  1. The pulmonary circulation transports blood from the right atrium to the left atrium.
  2. The pulmonary artery is in charge of delivering blood from the right ventricle to the lungs.
  3. Blood is oxygenated and cleansed before being returned to the left atrium through the pulmonary vein and then to the left ventricle.
  4. The left ventricle is in charge of supplying oxygenated blood to the aorta.
  5. This cycle is repeated, resulting in a double circulation.
