e-horizon lies between which layer of soil

E horizon lies either under O or A horizon and above B horizon of the soil. It is low in iron compounds and has clay minerals. It is lighter in colour than the horizons above or below it. It generally occurs in upland or hydric soil in upper parts. It is found mainly in soils of forested areas.
