Law of conservation of energy:

It states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed but changes from one form to another.

Energy transformation means the movement of energy from one place to another or one type of energy is converted to another type of energy. Where the total energy is conserved.

Examples:

  1. The sun transforms nuclear energy into heat and light energy.
  2. Our bodies convert chemical energy from food into mechanical energy.
  3. A filament bulb converts electrical energy into light and heat energy.
  4. A blender transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy.
