The human or mammalian heart consists of 4 chambers
Right atrium: deoxygenated blood fours into the right atrium from superior and inferior vena cava.
Right ventricle: the blood from right atrium goes into right ventricle that pushes it to lungs via the pulmonary artery.
Left atrium: oxygenated blood is carried from lungs to left atrium by pulmonary vein into the left atrium.
Left ventricle: left atrium pours blood into left ventricle that on contraction, transmits the blood into the aorta, the largest artery, that carries oxygenated blood.
