Explain global warming and how does it occur?

Solution:
Global warming is the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth due to the excess Green House Effect or increase in the amount of heat absorbed by Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere.

The rays from the sun enter the atmosphere and reaches the Earth’s surface. Some part of it is absorbed by the surface of the earth and the rest is reflected back to outer space. Meanwhile, some of the gases present in the atmosphere like Carbon Dioxide, Methane and Ozone lock some of the reflected heat and send it back to Earth. Then the heat remains trapped in the atmosphere which will keep the Earth warm. But when the amount of these gases increases in the atmosphere earth becomes warmer and thus result in the increase in temperature in the atmosphere.
This nowadays affects the overall climate of the earth and affects our environment very badly.
