Dear Student, Abiotic components such as soil, air and water provide nutrients to biotic components such as plants. Plants prepare food for animals. When plants and animals die, their bodies are decomposed into simpler substances by microbes. These simpler substances are nutrients that are put back into the soil. These nutrients are again absorbed by plants and the whole life cycle is repeated again and again. Hence, biotic and abiotic components depend on each other. Regards
