When a gas jar containing air is inverted over a gas jar containing bromine vapour , the red brown bromine vapour diffuse into air .As we know gases are in free state and are moving in rapid motion inside the container. Same happens when air jar will be inverted to bromine vapour jar, the particles of air and bromine vapour will colloid each each other and get mixed with each other. This process is called Diffusion.
