Rivers also lead to formation of depositinal landform like deltas. The alluvium brought by the river is deposited at the mouth of the river. The flow of the river is bifurcated into many streams, forming delta.
Types of deltas:
(a) Arcuate Delta: The shape of this delta is semi-circular.
(b) Bird-Foot Delta: The shape of this delta is in the form of foot of a bird. This type of delta is also termed as "finger delta”.
