Dodder plant:

  1. Some plants have aerial roots or pneumatophores above the ground, that enable them to breathe air in habitats that have water-logged soil.
  2. Some plants grow on other plants. Some parasitic plants have special roots called haustoria to grow on other trees.
  3. Dodder (Cucuta) grows on the other trees with the help of its roots that penetrate the stem or branches of the tree to absorb the nutrients.
