Explain how velocity of a body can be changed.

​​​​There are two ways of changing the velocity.
You can either increase or decrease the velocity.
If the velocity is to be increased, the distance covered per unit time should be increased, that is the acceleration should be increased.
If the velocity is to be decreased, the distance covered per unit time should be decreased, that is the acceleration should be decreased.
