Explain how you will measure the area of (i) a square (ii) a triangle. [2 marks]

(i) The area of a square can be calculated by using the following formula-
Area of square of side (l) = side x side
Therefore, Area of square = l × l =l2 [1 mark]
(ii) The area of a triangle can be calculated by using the following formula:
Area of traingle with base(b) and height(h) = (base x heigth) / 2
Therefore, Area of triangle = (b x h) / 2 [1 mark]
