Answer:
  • District Forum - A District Forum has been established by the appropriate State Government in each district. A customer may lodge a complaint with a district forum if the amount of the claimed compensation and the value of the goods in question is less than Rs 20 lakh.
  • State Forum - For the purpose of resolving consumer complaints, the State Government establishes the State Commission. A consumer may submit a complaint with the State Commission if the value of the products or services in issue and the compensation sought total more than Rs 20 lakh but less than Rs 1 crore.
  • National Forum - The Central Government established the National Commission. In the event that the combined worth of the disputed items and the requested compensation exceeds Rs 1 crore, a consumer may submit a complaint with the National Commission.
