Explain in Detail the structure of Nephron

Nephron:

  1. The nephron is the functional unit of kidney tissue.
  2. Its one end is closed and the other end opens into a collecting tubule.
  3. The closed end is that of a Bowman's capsule which lies in the renal cortex the outer dark part of the kidney.
  4. It consists of a network of capillaries called a glomerulus.
  5. The Bowman's capsule and glomerulus together form the Malpighian body.
