Explain influence of natural selection on genetic drift.

Natural selection is a phenomenon of selection of fittest among the population and genetic drift is a phenomenon of change in the type of genes in a population. Both of the phenomenon leads to the origin of new species with time. Natural selection can be caused by mutation, genetic drift, migration and random mating. Therefore genetic drift is found to be responsible for one of the reasons of natural selection and finally evolution. In other terms we can say that natural selection influences genetic drift.
