Explain labour briefly.

Labour refers to all human efforts of body or of mind which are undertaken in the expectation of reward. Work done by machine or animal is not considered as labour. Similarly any work done without expectation of reward is not labour. Labour is the main source of consumption. Labour is the source of wealth. It is a active factor of production.
