Rocks undergo weathering and release free phosphorus into the soil.
It is taken up by the plants to synthesize energy in form of ATP.
Phosphorus is also added into the soil from manure and chemical fertilizers.
Animals take up this and synthesize energy in form of ATP.
Plants and animals after death get decayed by microorganisms of soil.
They release the phosphate in the soil by decomposing them.
The phosphate in the soil remains is deposited in mineral form in the soil.
