explain poverty in your own words? suggest two ways to reduce poverty.

Dear student,

Poverty is a state or condition in which a person or community does not have enough income that they can purchase goods and material to fulfil their basic needs of living. A poor household or community is unable to purchase food, clothes and sometimes does not have a shelter to live in.
Two ways to reduce poverty are-

1. Removing corruption- People who are below the poverty line are provided with several government services like- healthcare services, public education,etc. But due to corruption and money laundering these government services are not accessible to poor people. Corruption makes rich more richer are poor more poorer.
2. Increasing the supply of food and other goods- Even after mass production of grains in our country majority of the population dies due to starvation. This is because food is not accessible to the poor people. By increasing the supply of food, which can be done by improving roads and transportation food can be accessible to majority of people and this can reduce poverty.
