Solution

Oxoacids are compounds having oxygen along with another element and can donate a proton.

Oxo-acids are those in which the acidic proton is on a hydroxyl group with an oxo group attached to the same atom.

For example H2CO3[OC(OH)2] , H2SO4[O2S(OH)2] ,H3PO4[OP(OH)3] , etc. Salts of oxoacids are compounds in which highly electropositive alkali metal forms salts with oxoacids. For example, Li2CO3 The hydrogen is replaced by Li atom and called as the salt of oxoacids. The salts of oxoacids are generally soluble in water and stable toward heat.
