  • Earth’s axis remains tilted throughout the year,So during this time of the year the Northern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun.
  • The sun shines directly over the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere.
  • In the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the year's longest day in terms of daylight. In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other hand, it is the shortest day of the year.
  • Due to the axial tilt the northern hemisphere faces towards sun experience summer and southern hemisphere experience winter.
