Explain stolon and offset in sub aerial stem modification

Stolons, tubers, corms, rhizomes are underground modifications of stem whereas offsets are modified stem above the ground.
Stolons- These are horizontal runners present just below the ground and contain nodes and long internodes. Eg. mentha grass.


Offsets- Offsets are thick, fleshy runners present above the ground. Eg. pistia.
