Explain that the characteristics of matter changes with the change of states?

Dear student

Changes of state are physical changes. They occur when matter absorbs or loses energy.
Here, chemical composition of substance remain same, i.e. It can go back to its original state
It affects only the physical property i.e shape, size etc.
e.g. Freezing of water into ice (change from liquid to solid), chemically it remains $H_{2}O$ in both forms, and can be converted back to water.
