Desert adaptation in camels:

  1. Legs: Presence of long legs to prevent the body from coming in contact with the heat
  2. Feet: Thick large soles are present on the feet which makes it easy to walk.
  3. Water: Large quantities of water is gulped at a time.
  4. Food: It can stay without food for 10 days.
  5. Urine: Water is retained in the body, very less urine is passed and dung is also dry.
  6. Sweating: Camel does not sweat.
