Advantages of copper bottoms in cooking vessels:

  1. Copper is a good conductor of heat.
  2. It allows heat to pass or transfer through it easily and helps in getting the food cooked.
  3. It takes less energy for cooking.
  4. Heat gets distributed uniformly and well-distributed around the vessel.

Hence, only the bottom of the vessel is coated with copper which is the part in contact with heat.
