Solution
Dear student,
In haplontic life cycle the body of the organism is haploidic which undergoes mitotic division to form gamete. Zygotic meiosis occurs in zygote which forms haploidic body of the organism.
In diplontic life cycle the body of the organism is diploidic therefore it under goes meiotic division to form gamete. Gametic meiosis occurs in diploidic body of the organism which divides meiotically to form gametes.
