Aqua regia

  1. Aqua regia is a Latin phrase that means king's water.
  2. Aqua regia or nitro-hydrochloric acid is a highly corrosive mixture of acids. It is a fuming yellow or red solution.

Composition of Aqua regia

  1. Aqua regia is formed by mixing concentrated Nitric acid (HNO3) and concentrated Hydrochloric acid (HCl).

  3. It is a reddish-orange or yellowish-orange fuming liquid.
