Explain the difference between a nourishing diet and a balanced diet.
Balanced diet is a diet that includes an adequate amount of all the necessary nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals) and fibres required by the body. Balanced diet is necessary for healthy growth and for performing various activities. On the other hand, a nourishing diet is a diet that is provided to a person specifically suffering from a deficiency of a particular nutrient or component of food. It is provided in supplement to the normal diet.
