Aluminium (Al) occurs in the earth's crust in two different forms and they are, Bauxite (Al2O3.2H2O) and clay (Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O).

Example:

Aluminium (Al) can be conveniently and profitably extracted from Bauxite (Al2O3.2H2O). So, Bauxite (Al2O3.2H2O) is an ore of Aluminium (Al).
