The three zones of the candle flame are:
- Blue zone: It is at the outermost zone of the flame. It is the hottest part of the flame due to complete combustion.
- Black zone: Around the wick, there is a zone which is black in colour, where there is no combustion because of zero availability of oxygen.
- Yellow zone: This is the middle zone of partial combustion.
The outermost zone of the flame is the hottest since complete combustion takes place here.
