Explain the direction of movement of air during the day and night in coastal areas

Solution
Daytime
During the daytime, the land gets heated faster than the water so the air flows from the sea towards the land.
At this time, a low-pressure area is generated above the land as compared to air over the sea. Hence, the air moves from the high-pressure area to the low-pressure area.
Night
During the night, the land gets cooled down rapidly and the air from the land moves back to the sea.
Also, in the night, the pressure of the air above the land becomes higher than the air above the sea. Hence, there is a reverse flow of air.
