Explain the disadvantages of a large family size.

Disadvantages of large family size are -

(a) Large family size leads to scarcity of basic amenities like food, health, clothing and shelter.

(b) Lack of basic amenity like food leads to malnutrition which affects the health of children.

(c) Due to increase in members of a family, children are deprived of education and have to indulge in child labour to support the family.

(d) Financial condition worsens and creates economical burden on the nation.

(e) Employment opportunity becomes scare.

(f) Due to severe economic crunch, poverty increases.

(g) Social unrest created due to unemployment and poverty leads people to drug abuse and alcoholism, which further aggravate the problematic scenario.
