Bioaccumulation:

  1. It is the phenomenon by which the accumulation of chemicals increases with transfer from one organism to another.
  2. The bioaccumulation of heavy metals like cadmium in the liver and kidney increases with age. The most prevalent chronic effect of cadmium exposure results in kidney damage.
